The painter Jack Boul created likable and relatable images of bucolic landscapes, solitary individuals walking on beaches, and couples dancing. You can see some of them at WDAV’s next Small Batch concert at Free Range Brewing in Charlotte. His art will be projected on a screen as music faculty members from Appalachian State University perform selections by Roger Tréfousse that were written specifically to accompany the paintings. Boul’s son, David, commissioned the music and dreamed up the idea for this unique performance. He’s the guest on this Piedmont Arts podcast episode. Learn more about Jack Boul’s art and David’s quest to preserve his father’s legacy.
